So, at what point in your blogging life do you stop hitting refresh on the stat page?
I'll go to the stat page and see that someone is here, right now!
Hit refresh.
This person is reading another post!
Hit refresh.
Oh, look, another post!
Hit refresh.
Am I going to get a comment?
Hit refresh.
Maybe now?
Hit refresh.
Wait....
Hit refresh.
Well, I think the person is gone now.
Hit refresh.
Comment now?
Hit refresh.
No.
Hit refresh.

Oh I don't have a start page. So no temptation. I can se how it would be addictive. Like checking Facebook to see if there are any new notifications. I'm probably terrible for your peace of mind since I tend to leave tabs open for hours or days and forget to close them. So if it's someone not leaving a comment, it's probably me.
I do the same thing. I'll leave a tab open until I get around to reading it which might take days.
Maybe that person's comments get repeatedly eaten by Blogger. ;)
(that ^ was my second attempt to post a comment here)
My comments have been eaten too and I am usually too frustrated to retype it on my tablet because it takes forever.
Oh Blogger! Stop eating comments!
Typing on a tablet is maddening. I have a theory about regressive technology.
I used to hit refresh all the time, but since now we get all comments emailed to us, we just check the email all the time.
Lol You better get to writing. It's encouraging to see that others are reading what we write.
